The film contains two parallel stories about undocumented immigrants. The first story is about Rami and one of the many uncomfortable situations that he has to go through on a daily basis. We get to see the turmoil around him without ever getting his point of view. The other story is about Reva and her son Loei. They still haven't been granted asylum after six years in Sweden. They have no rights and they live a life outside society. At the same time they refuse to be seen as victims and they strive for independence. It appears as though they live a perfectly normal life. They dress nicely, speak Swedish well, and socialize among others. But the truth is, their reality is quite different from what it seems. Watch the teaser here: "Faithers"
Written by Tracy Irve I lost my home, for a long time ago now I have no going back, I'm on my own Because you're a creator, and I put your hand to test and they'll be like faithers, we just want to be something else And oh I don't belong, don't want to be what I've become and now we are crying because we are doing it wrong You're a creator, and I put your hand to test and they'll be like faithers, we just want to be something else Performed by Aisha Hammami Guitar and backup by Tracy Irve |
